The Sherman Roofing Texas Blog
Straightforward writing about roofs in Grayson County — what fails, what it costs, and what to ask before you sign anything.
Why We Bother Writing Any of This
Most roofing content online is written to rank rather than to inform, which is why so much of it says nothing you could act on. What we publish here is meant to be useful to somebody in Sherman who is trying to make a decision: how to read a quote, what hail actually does to a shingle, when a repair beats a replacement, what Texas law allows a contractor to do with your insurance claim, and how to tell a real credential from a sticker. If a subject cannot be written about honestly without inventing statistics, we will not write about it.
The bias here is toward things specific to Grayson County rather than general advice that would apply equally in Ohio. Spring cell season behaves a particular way along the US 75 corridor. The heat load on a west-facing slope in August is a local problem with local answers. Decking condition on the older housing stock near downtown Sherman is different from what we find in the newer building on the north side of town. Where the useful answer is local, that is the answer we will write.
Everything published here is written by people who work on roofs in this county, not by a content agency working from a keyword list. If you read something that contradicts what a contractor has told you, call and ask. We would rather have the conversation than have you make an expensive decision on the strength of an article.

Rather Just Ask Somebody?
Reading about roofs has limits, and most questions are faster to answer on the phone than in an article. Call and describe what you are seeing, and if it warrants a look we will book a free inspection.
